Mikhelson leads in Russia’s richest businessmen list ’16 by Forbes
MOSCOW, Apr 14 (PRIME) -- Leonid Mikhelson, a co-owner of gas producer Novatek and petrochemical company Sibur, ascended six positions and led the Forbes’s 2016 rating of Russia’s richest businessmen, according to a statement released by Forbes on Thursday.
Mikhelson’s fortune rose by U.S. $2.7 billion to $14.4 billion.
He was followed by Alfa-Bank’s co-owner Mikhail Fridman with a $13.3 billion fortune and USM Holding’s co-owner Alisher Usmanov with $12.5 billion.
Former top tycoon Vladimir Potanin, owner of Norilsk Nickel, was ranked fourth with a $12.1 billion fortune.
Oleg Deripaska, Viktor Vekselberg, Potanin and Vagit Alekperov lost most of all tycoons, while Mikhail Gutseriyev, Mikhelson and Kirill Shamalov were the biggest gainers.
